Princeton Jones
Vice President
After the tragic loss of his younger brother Preston Jones, Princeton is dedicated to serving his community and working tirelessly to raise awareness on the importance of educating youth on financial literacy. Also advocating to end youth violence.
Angela Malone
Vice Chair
Angela Malone, a lifelong St. Louis resident, is a passionate educator and community leader with over 30 years of service in early childhood education and nonprofit work. She founded Raggedy Ann ‘N Andy Learning Center in 1991 and later established Wills Way Inc. in 2011 to honor her mother’s legacy through scholarships, toy drives, and family support initiatives. Angela has been recognized for her impact, including a 2024 honor from Senator Angela Walton Mosley for her work with the Breaking Generational Poverty Foundation. As a BGP Board Member, Angela uses her leadership and nonprofit expertise to build sustainable futures for families and youth.
Shaunice Shelton

Shaunice is the CEO of Gentle Hands Home Care, where she compassionately serves both seniors and youth with unwavering dedication. She is committed to equipping young people with the tools they need to grow into thriving, productive adults. Her selfless devotion to enriching the lives of youth and ensuring that our elders experience dignity and joy in their golden years reflects a deep love for humanity. Shaunice’s work is a true testament to the power of care, compassion, and community.
Esau Trust

Esau serves as the Treasurer for Breaking Generational Poverty Foundation, bringing strong financial stewardship and accountability to the organization. As the brother of Preston Jones, Esau is deeply committed to advancing BGP’s mission of empowering families and building sustainable pathways out of poverty. His dedication ensures transparency and responsible management of all financial resources.
Dan
At Large Board Member
Dan, owner of Express Towing Inc., turned his pain into purpose after the tragic loss of his Older Brother “Blue” to gun violence on July 1, 2012. Dan’s mission is to help save our youth and uplift the community through service, advocacy, and unwavering dedication.
Sharon Williams
At Large Board Member
Sharon Willams is a Social Gerontologist / Mental Health Therapist. She lost her oldest son William “Mikey” Rayford age 19 to gun violence in 2008 while running a gang abatement center for underserved youth in St. Louis City. Sharon started her organization to help others who have lost their loved ones to gun violence. She is the Owner/ Operator of Save Our Children from the Streets. Her organization provides clothing and flowers for funerals, trauma counseling, and celebration of life ceremonies. She is also the Co-Lead for STL Local Group of Moms Demand Action.
Bryson Banks
At Large Board Member
Bryson Kendall Banks is a man of faith, truth, love, and hope, committed to building a world where every family has the opportunity to rise beyond limitation. As a Board Member of Breaking Generational Poverty Foundation Inc, he serves with compassion and conviction, empowering communities through education, resources, and spiritual renewal. Guided by a deep belief in God’s purpose, Bryson dedicates his life to breaking cycles of poverty and restoring dignity across generations.
Lisa Brown

Lisa Brown born and raised in St Louis, MO (West Side and Walnut Park). Formal education via SLPS. Bachelor’s Degree- Columbia College. Master’s Degree-Lindenwood University. Founder and Athletic Director of Knight Train Youth Association. Mother and Grandmother (NahNah). President of Sistaz By Choice Motorcycle Club. Last but not least a TT to two, affectionally referred to as Nehpoo 1 and Nehpoo 2 (the sons I never had) both victims of gun violence 6 months apart. My stance is to stand in the gap for my “luh” brother, their dad in hopes that we can stop the senseless killings, justice is served and no other parent will have to bury their child as a result of gun violence. I promise to do my part.
Dr. Daniel Colchado, MD
Daniel Colchado, MD is a general surgery resident at WashU/BJC. He is the first physician in his family and spent most of his childhood in Nuevo Laredo, México, where he first encountered the threat of rampant gun violence.
As James Baldwin warned, ‘The children are always ours… every single one of them.’ If that’s true, then our obligation is clear: dismantle the systems that fail them, or become complicit in their suffering. He joins BGP because he believes that no child’s destiny should be bound by the circumstances they inherit.

Precious T. Jones- Founder & Executive Director
6/17/22 Jones loss her 20 year old son Preston Jones Sr to gun violence. Jones created a national movement and platform across the world by bringing grieving mothers together to unite in their shared grief and to make positive change. Jones has empowered other mothers to become powerful advocates for ending gun violence in our communities. Jones has also dedicated her time in bringing awareness to the fentanyl poisoning, after the loss of her eldest brother (2/24/21) Paul Jones Sr. Jones has also empowered parents to become powerful advocates for ending fentanyl poisoning. Torre Dyson Neighborhood Food Outreach
Torre is a passionate advocate against gun violence, & food deprivation with a focus on addressing these issues community wide. His dedication to these causes stems from his deep concern about the impact of food deprivation and gun violence on individuals, communities, and societies at large. Torre’s Law Enforcement background equips him with analytical skills and a nuanced understanding of his role in addressing societal challenges.
Locally, food deprivation and gun violence is a pressing issue that affects numerous neighborhoods, leading to loss of lives, trauma and societal instability. From mass shootings to armed conflicts in various regions, the consequences of food deprivation and gun violence are profound and far- reaching. Torre recognizes the need for comprehensive strategies that encompass legislative measure, community engagement and technological innovations to mitigate the risks associated with food deprivation and gun violence.
In Missouri, food deprivation and gun violence presents unique challenges, including illegal arms proliferation, armed Robbies, and conflicts related to violent disputes or political tensions. Torre advocacy extends. to his community, where he collaborates with local organizations, policymakers, and communities to promote peace building initiatives, strengthen gun control measures, and foster dialogue on conflict resolution.
By combining his expertise with a passion for social impact, Torre Dyson strives to be a catalyst for positive change in the fight against food deprivation and \gun violence, both on a local scale and within the context of Missouri specific challenges.

Paula Mass was born with Down syndrome and serves on the Breaking Generational Poverty Foundation, Inc. Board as a proud advocate for individuals with disabilities. Her role represents the importance of ensuring that all voices are heard in the fight against gun violence, poverty, discrimination, and racism. Paula brings a powerful perspective to our mission standing as a reminder that every life has value and that people with disabilities deserve not only inclusion but leadership in shaping solutions. With her voice, we strengthen our commitment to equity, compassion, and justice for all.
